CALABARZON — Private sector workers in CALABARZON will see a daily wage increase of ₱25 to ₱60 starting Oct. 5, 2025 under a new wage order approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB IV-A).
The adjustment, outlined in Wage Order No. IVA-22, raises the minimum daily wage in the non-agriculture sector to ₱510 to ₱600.
In the agriculture sector, the rate will increase to ₱485 to ₱525.
Workers in retail and service establishments with 10 or fewer employees will also receive an additional ₱60 per day.
Labor groups have welcomed the move as a step toward fairer wages but continue to call for the removal of provincial wage rates, which they argue prevent workers from receiving more meaningful relief.
The wage hike comes as workers face rising costs of food and basic goods, with advocates stressing that higher wages are essential to ensure a decent standard of living for Filipino families.
