Construction of the Paliparan-GMA Bypass Road in Cavite is nearing completion, with officials saying the project will help ease congestion and improve access across several fast-growing urban centers in the province.
The road forms part of the larger Dasmariñas-GMA-Carmona Diversion Road, linking Molino-Paliparan Road in Dasmariñas to Governor’s Drive in Carmona.
The stretch from Molino-Paliparan Road to Mayor’s Drive in General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) is almost finished, while work has started on the Carmona-bound section, with construction visible at its terminus on Governor’s Drive.
Authorities said the diversion road may also be connected to the planned Dasmariñas-General Trias-Tanza Diversion Road, creating an east-to-west corridor linking Carmona, GMA, Dasmariñas, General Trias and Tanza.
Once completed, the expanded road network is expected to ease reliance on Governor’s Drive, Daang Hari and the East-West Lateral Road.
Planners said it will cut travel times, improve road safety and boost trade and investment in Cavite, one of the country’s most rapidly urbanizing provinces.
