KAWIT, Cavite — The highly anticipated Ayala Malls Evo City in Kawit is nearing its soft opening, with developers eyeing the launch of the open-air retail area in the coming weeks, according to local sources and mall tenants preparing for operations.
Located within Ayala Land’s 200-hectare Evo City township, the mall is one of the centerpiece commercial developments in the fast-rising economic zone. While the open area of the mall was initially projected to open by the end of July, tenants and on-site observers say it may slightly miss that target, with a possible opening date now expected sometime in August 2025.
“They’re almost ready,” said one tenant representative, who requested anonymity due to lack of authority to speak publicly. “Shops are preparing to open but it looks like they’ll need a bit more time. August is a more realistic goal now — hopefully.”
The open area of the mall includes restaurants, cafés, and boutique outlets designed for an al fresco shopping and dining experience, capitalizing on the modern urban-lifestyle concept of Evo City.
However, the mall’s main building — the fully enclosed retail complex — may not be completed until 2026, as construction work remains ongoing. Observers noted that the scale of the main structure appears larger than that of Ayala’s Vermosa mall in Imus, another Ayala Land development in Cavite.
“From what we’re seeing, this could be the one of the biggest Ayala malls once fully opened,” a Cavite resident said.
Ayala Land has yet to issue an official statement regarding exact opening dates. The company earlier promoted Evo City as a mixed-use, future-ready estate aimed at attracting businesses, residents, and tourists alike.
Once fully operational, Ayala Malls Evo City is expected to be a major economic and lifestyle hub in the region, catering to the growing population in Kawit and nearby towns.
