Kawit, Cavite — Two suspected drug personalities were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station on July 2, 2025 in Barangay Samala-Marquez.

The operation, led by PCpt. Ernesto G. Monasterial II of the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Section, was carried out in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A. It resulted in the apprehension of two suspects, identified only by their aliases “Polding” and “Wil,” both residents of the barangay.

Police said the suspects were caught selling a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover operative around 11:45 a.m.

Both suspects were informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood and were brought to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal procedures.

PLtCol. Resty E. Soriano, officer-in-charge of the station, said the operation is part of the police’s intensified anti-criminality campaign, emphasizing a strong stance against the illegal drug trade in Kawit.

“This accomplishment serves as a stern warning to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drugs,” Soriano said in a statement.
