GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite — Construction of SM City General Trias is progressing rapidly, a year after its groundbreaking, with completion targeted by 2026.

The upcoming retail complex, located in the heart of Riverpark North in Cavite province, is poised to become one of the largest shopping malls in the area.

Developed by SM Prime Holdings Inc., one of the Philippines’ leading integrated property developers, the mall is part of an urban development plan that includes residential areas, a commercial business district, and a transport terminal.

The project is expected to tremendously boost local employment and economic activity.

Once completed, SM City General Trias will feature modern amenities aimed at transforming the city’s lifestyle landscape. It is projected to generate thousands of jobs for residents of General Trias and nearby municipalities.

The mall’s location in Riverpark North, a master-planned estate, underscores SM Prime’s strategy of integrating retail infrastructure with mixed-use urban development, a trend seen in other key growth areas outside Metro Manila.

Cavite, a fast-growing province south of the capital, has been a focal point for infrastructure and real estate expansion in recent years, driven by increasing urban migration and improved connectivity to Metro Manila through road and rail projects.

SM Prime operates more than 80 malls nationwide and continues to expand in emerging urban centers as part of its long-term growth strategy.
