Kawit, Cavite – PNP authorities in Kawit, Cavite have arrested a suspected drug personality during an anti-narcotics operation, part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal drugs in the town.
According to a statement released by the Kawit Municipal Police Station on Monday, the suspect—identified by the alias “Amboy” and a resident of Barangay Panamitan—was apprehended on the evening of 29 May 2025 in Barangay Magdalo-Potol, Kawit.
The operation, conducted at approximately 9:45 PM, was led by the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives under the supervision of PCpt. Ernesto G. Monasterial II and PLtCol. Socrates S. Jaca, Officer-in-Charge. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Region 4A also coordinated in the operation.
Police say the suspect was caught selling a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu,” in a buy-bust operation. He was read his rights in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine and is currently in police custody for proper documentation and legal proceedings.
The suspect faces charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
