GEN. TRIAS, Cavite — A motorcyclist was killed after his motorcycle collided with a trailer truck at an intersection in Gen. Trias, Cavite, on Monday.
According to police, the accident occurred at 11 a.m. at the crossing of Gate 5 PEZA, Brgy. Bacao, Gen. Trias, Cavite.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was traveling along the Antero Soriano Highway towards Tanza or Gen. Trias when the accident happened.
A witness, Joven Hate, witnessed the accident. According to Hate, the victim was speeding to beat the red light, but failed to stop in time. Instead, the motorcycle collided with the trailer truck that was coming from Gate 5.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was not taken to the hospital. Police are still investigating the incident.
