War vs Rampant Drugs in Kawit Leads to Arrest of 2 Pushers

KAWIT, Cavite — In a significant crackdown on drug-related activities, Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit apprehended two individuals during an anti-illegal drug operation last week, authorities said Saturday.

Under the supervision of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz and in coordination with PDEA-4A, operatives conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Balsahan-Bisita that led to the arrest of two suspects known as “Stephen” and “Imart,” both residents of Brgy Toclong 2A, Imus City.

The suspects were caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing what is believed to be “Shabu,” a local term for methamphetamine.

Following their arrest, the suspects were informed of their rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood and were taken to Kawit Municipal Police Station for further processing.

The police station reaffirmed its commitment to relentless efforts against criminality, emphasizing that this operation serves as a stern warning against involvement in illegal drugs.
