Four teenagers have been apprehended in Imus City, Cavite, on suspicion of motorcycle theft over the weekend, according to local law enforcement.
The suspects, aged between 16 and 17, were identified by the Imus City Component Police Station (CCPS) as children in conflict with the law (CICLs).
The owner of the motorcycle reported it missing in the early hours of 11th April. Following this, local officials received a tip-off from a concerned citizen about a group of suspicious individuals seen in the area.
During a routine patrol, barangay public safety officers (BPSOs) attempted to stop the motorcycle.
The riders, believed to be the CICLs, lost control and fell off the bike.
The officers were able to verify the motorcycle’s documents and promptly contacted the owner to confirm the theft.
The motorcycle has since been returned to its rightful owner, and the suspects have been taken to Imus CCPS for further processing.
