A tragic incident occurred in Carmona City, Cavite province the other day.
A female pedestrian lost her life, and two others sustained injuries after a speeding truck struck them.
According to the Region 4A police, an Isuzu Rebuilt aluminum van, driven by an individual known as “Fernando,” accidentally collided with three pedestrians: Jemerine Bombani (29), Sheryl Cantuba (45), and Burlet Sevilla (48).
The collision took place around 7:30 p.m. as the victims were crossing the pedestrian lane along Governor’s Drive.
Despite immediate medical attention, Bombhani tragically passed away en route to the hospital.
Authorities attribute the accident to the truck driver’s excessive speed, which prevented him from noticing the pedestrians about to cross the lane.
