Bacoor Police Arrest Regional Most Wanted Drug Suspect

A drug suspect who was on the regional most wanted list was arrested by the Bacoor police in a raid on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

The suspect, who goes by the alias “Jona,” was nabbed in Barangay Panapaan 3, Bacoor City, Cavite, by the personnel of Bacoor Component City Police Station (BCCPS), led by Acting Chief of Police PLTCOL John Paolo Carracedo.

According to Carracedo, “Jona” is a resident of Barangay Molino 3, Bacoor City, Cavite, and is facing charges for violating sections 5 and 11, article 2 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“Jona” was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Maria Teresa G. Soriaso of the Regional Trial Court Branch 113 – Bacoor City, Cavite, with no bail recommended.

The suspect is now under the custody of BCCPS for documentation and proper disposition.

Cavite Police Provincial Office (CPPO) Director PCol Marlon Rodrigo Santos commended the BCCPS for the successful operation and vowed to continue the crackdown on illegal drugs in the province.

“We will not stop until we rid our communities of these drug personalities who pose a threat to the peace and order of Cavite,” Santos said.
