BACOOR CITY, Cavite — The Bacoor City Government has warned families that graves in public cemeteries may be declared vacant and replaced if burial documents are not renewed within the required period.
In an advisory, the city reminded relatives of those interred at Maliksi I and II Public Cemeteries and Molino II Public Cemetery III to renew documents that have expired for more than five years.
Residents are given 30 days to comply with the renewal requirement to prevent the City Cemetery Office from removing remains and reallocating the plots under City Ordinance No. 217-2022.
The city government urged families to bring the death certificate with registry number, the original contract and payment receipt, identification of relatives, and a photo of the gravesite.
Inquiries may be made through the City Cemetery Office at (046) 481-4152 local 337, open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Lower Ground Floor of the Bacoor City Government Center in Barangay Bayanan.
