P700-M flood control projects sa Kawit, pero lubog pa rin sa baha

KAWIT, Cavite — Halos P700 milyon ang inilaan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para sa mga proyekto sa flood control at drainage sa Kawit at karatig bayan ng Noveleta, ayon sa datos mula sa Sumbong sa Pangulo website. 

Ngunit nananatiling laganap ang pagbaha sa Kawit loob sa 9 na taon na pamamahala ni ex Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo, dahilan upang kuwestiyunin ng mga residente kung saan napupunta ang pondo.

Batay sa dokumento, ilang proyekto ang ipinagkatiwala sa iba’t ibang kontratista:

BAQPRINCE Construction and Trading Corp. / R.V. Ribo – ₱89,745,000 para sa Construction of Revetment along Imus River, Brgy. Binakayan, Kawit

Almakar Builders & Metal Works – ₱21,780,000 para sa River Wall Protection, San Sebastian, Kawit; ₱41,125,223.87 para sa Revetment along Taguilid River, Kawit; ₱67,549,748.33 para sa Revetment at Panamitan River, Brgy. Batong Dalig, Kawit; at tig-₱24,500,000 para sa Drainage projects sa Noveleta-Naic-Tagaytay Road, Rosario, Cavite

Cavdeal-Cavite Ideal Int’l Const. & Dev’t. Corp. – ₱59,938,901.12 para sa Revetment along Panamitan River, Kawit

Honeyville Const. and Development Corp. – ₱43,547,280 para sa Revetment along San Juan River, Brgy. Marulas, Kawit

Kabilang din ang mga proyektong isinagawa sa Noveleta:

Triple 8 Construction & Supply, Inc. – ₱89,745,000 para sa Revetment along Manila Bay, Brgy. San Salcedo

Jagonbuild Construction Corp. – ₱49,000,000 para sa Flood Control Structure, Brgy. San Rafael IV

Graia Construction Corporation – ₱96,500,000 at ₱77,200,000 para sa Revetment along Manila Bay, Brgy. San Rafael IV at San Salcedo

Two Degrees Construction and Supply – ₱4,897,878.72 at ₱4,897,964.42 para sa Drainage systems sa Poblacion at San Antonio, Noveleta

Sa kabila ng mga pondong ito, reklamo ng mga residente sa Kawit at Noveleta na lagi pa rin silang lumulubog sa baha tuwing malakas ang ulan o mataas ang tubig sa Manila Bay.

“Walang pagbabago, kahit may mga proyekto. Ang tanong namin, saan napupunta ang daan-daang milyong piso?” ayon kay isang residente ng Kawit.

Hindi pa nagbibigay ng pahayag ang DPWH at lokal na pamahalaan hinggil sa ulat.

Ngunit iginiit ng mga mamamayan na dapat magkaroon ng imbestigasyon at masusing audit sa mga kontratista at proyekto, lalo’t malaking halaga ang nakalaan subalit nananatiling problemado ang bayan sa pagbaha.

Ano na nga ba ang nangyari sa mga proyektong ito? Ito ngayon ang tanong ng mamamayan ng Kawit at Noveleta.
