Imus, Tagaytay, Noveleta Earn 1st Class Income Classification Upgrade

The cities of Imus and Tagaytay, along with the municipality of Noveleta, were recognized by the Cavite provincial government for their recent upgrade to 1st Class Income Classification, officials said Monday.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan formally commended the three local government units during a ceremony on February 17, 2025, at the New Government Center in Trece Martires City.

Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua and Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula personally received the recognition, while Cavite Governor Athena Bryana D. Tolentino accepted the award on behalf of Tagaytay City Mayor Bambol Tolentino.

Board Members Aidel Paul G. Belamide (5th District) and Davey Christian R. Chua (1st District) sponsored a resolution acknowledging the economic growth and strong financial performance of the three LGUs.

Officials said the upgrade reflects effective governance, improved revenue generation, and strengthened local development initiatives.

Governor Tolentino, alongside Vice Governor Shernan Jaro, praised the efforts of local executives in ensuring sustainable progress, emphasizing Cavite’s commitment to economic prosperity and development.
