The City Government of Bacoor has expanded its road safety efforts with the second batch of its Free Student Driver’s Permit for Bacooreños program.
Led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, the program aims to equip young residents with essential driving knowledge and skills at no cost.
Held at Revilla Hall, the training was conducted in collaboration with the SK Federation, Liga ng Barangay, and the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
A total of 200 participants attended the session, receiving instruction from experienced driving assessors Garry Villanueva of Imus and Yrolle Baren from the LTO Bacoor District Office.
The program, which plans to grant free student driver’s permits to 1,500 residents, is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Philippines.
Mayor Revilla, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Liga ng Barangay Vice President Randy Francisco, and SK Federation officials were present to support the event.
“This program underscores our commitment to road safety and responsible driving. By providing accessible training, we are empowering Bacooreños with the knowledge they need to navigate our roads safely,” Mayor Revilla said.
The Free Student Driver’s Permit for Bacooreños program is a major step in fostering a safer driving culture in Bacoor, ensuring that new drivers are well-prepared before hitting the road.
