KAWIT, Cavite— Police arrested a suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation conducted on Feb. 5 in Barangay Congbalay-Legaspi, authorities said Monday.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives, under the supervision of Officer-in-Charge PLTCOL Socrates S. Jaca and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-4A, carried out the operation around 10:45 p.m.

The suspect, identified only as “Dodong,” a resident of the barangay, was apprehended after allegedly selling a small heat-sealed sachet containing suspected shabu.

Police said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understands. He was taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Authorities said they will continue intensified operations against illegal drugs and other criminal activities in Kawit, Cavite.
