KAWIT – A suspected drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Kawit, Cavite, on Dec. 11, police said Friday.
The suspect, known only by the alias “Anna,” was taken into custody by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives after selling a small plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine, or “shabu,” to an undercover officer.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and was part of the police station’s intensified campaign against crime and illegal drugs.
The suspect was informed of their constitutional rights and was brought to the police station for documentation and further processing.
The arrest is the latest in a series of efforts by the Kawit Municipal Police Station to crack down on crime and illegal activity in the area. Police officials warned the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drugs and vowed to continue their campaign against all forms of criminality.
The police station is led by Officer-in-Charge PLTCOL Socrates S. Jaca.
