The Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will switch to a full cashless system at its toll plazas beginning Sept. 14, 2024, the PEA Tollway Corp. announced.

Under the new system, all cash lanes will be eliminated, and drivers will be required to use radio frequency identification (RFID) for toll payments.

Motorists without RFID tags will be directed to designated areas where they can pay their tolls in cash and have their vehicles fitted with RFID tags.

The Toll Regulatory Board said the dry run for the full cashless system will cover the Parañaque and Kawit Toll Plazas of CAVITEX.
