Flying Voter Arrested in Dasmariñas, Bail Set at P120,000

DASMARIÑAS City, Cavite – A 31-year-old man was arrested in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, for violating a Commission on Elections (Comelec) resolution related to the 2019 national and local elections.

Richard, a vendor and resident of Barangay Sampaloc 4, was taken into custody at 12:10 a.m. on August 19 at the Bautista Property in the same barangay.

The arrest was made by the Dasmariñas City Police Station’s Warrant Section, led by Police Master Sergeant Erwin Maliksi, under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Julius Baybado Balano.

The suspect was wanted for violating Comelec Resolution No. 10466, which was issued in connection with the May 13, 2019 elections.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Josielyn D. Lara-de Luna of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 129, with a recommended bail of P120,000 pesos.

The arrest was documented using a body-worn camera, and the suspect is currently being held at the Dasmariñas City Police Station.
