MENDEZ, Cavite – A day-long medical mission in the town of Mendez, Cavite drew hundreds of residents who availed of free health services, courtesy of the Cavite Provincial Government and the local municipal government.

More than 700 residents received basic medical services, including comprehensive consultations, ECG procedures, and X-ray examinations, from medical practitioners of the Office of the Provincial Health Officer.

A dental mission, conducted in partnership with the Philippine Dental Association – Cavite Chapter, provided free dental consultations and tooth extractions to 91 individuals, with assistance from Eagles Club volunteers.

A makeshift pharmacy was also set up to provide medicines and vitamins free of charge to the beneficiaries, while other services offered included eye checkups, legal consultations, family planning counseling, haircuts, manicures, and pedicures.

Supplies such as slippers, adult diapers, school supplies, and reading glasses were also distributed to the residents.

The medical mission was held in celebration of Mendez Mayor Francisco “Cocoy” Mendoza Jr.’s birthday, with the mayor and members of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Council in attendance to show their support and appreciation.

The event was made possible through the coordination of the Cavite Provincial Government and the Mendez Municipal Government, with the assistance of the Kababaihan ng Familiang Mendezeno, a local women’s group.
