BACOOR, Cavite – The local government of Bacoor City continues to accept donations of used plastic bottles for the production of improvised oil spill booms, according to a city announcement on Sunday.
In addition to plastic bottles, the public is also encouraged to donate coconut husks and human hair.
Owners of salons and barbershops in the city are urged to collect cut hair for this project.
“Our city needs everyone’s help now,” the local government stated. “Let’s turn your donated plastic bottles into a solution.”
Donations can be delivered to Mr. Allan Chua’s house in Barangay Sinbanali, the Office of Agriculture Services-Bacoor, or at the barangay halls.
This initiative is part of the city’s campaign against oil spills.
The local government of Bacoor City has expressed gratitude to all those helping and donating to the project.
