The Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will implement a 30-day toll holiday starting Monday, July 1, 2024, Cavite Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) President and General Manager Raul Ignacio announced Sunday.

The decision, made in support of the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) after consultation with CAVITEX joint venture partners, aims to alleviate the financial burden on motorists amid rising fuel costs and inflation.

“This will help our motorists with the rising cost of fuel and inflation,” Ignacio said in a statement.

The toll-free period will apply to all exits of CAVITEX, a major expressway connecting Metro Manila to Cavite province.

The announcement follows President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s recent mention of a toll holiday for all expressway segments under CAVITEX management during the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 2.
