Cavite Wake Turns Violent: Man Shot Over Unsettled Debt

In a shocking incident, a man was shot at a wake in GMA, Cavite the other night.

The victim, known only as “Roger”, was attending the wake when the incident occurred.

The suspect, identified as Anthony Mata, was also present at the wake.

It has been reported that Anthony had previously borrowed P500 from the deceased. Before his death, the lender had asked “Roger” to collect the debt.

The GMA Municipal Police had stated that a dispute broke out between “Roger” and Anthony when the former attempted to collect the debt during the wake.

Both men were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.

The argument escalated, leading to Anthony allegedly shooting “Roger” twice. Anthony fled the scene immediately after the incident.

“Roger” was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. The current condition of the victim is unknown, and the police are actively searching for the suspect.
