A man in Silang, Cavite, who reported a burglary at his home, was arrested after it was discovered that he was the actual suspect.
The suspect, known by the alias “Ferdinand”, is 62 years old.
According to the police, the man claimed that his house was burglarized last week. However, upon reviewing the CCTV footage from the area, they saw him entering his own house.
He was also seen exiting through the main door carrying a bag containing money and gadgets.
He is now facing perjury charges due to his false report. The suspect declined to comment on his motive for the deception.
