Woman from Cavite with P7M Shabu Arrested in Bohol

In the latest buy-bust in Bohol, authorities apprehended a 55-year-old woman from General Trias, Cavite, seizing over 7.1 million pesos worth of suspected ‘shabu’.

The suspect, identified as Nilfa Bechayda, was caught with approximately 1,050 grams of the illegal substance, believed to have originated from the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa and intended for delivery to a consignee in Dauis town.

During interrogation, Bechayda revealed that the contraband was from the National Bilibid Prison and was to be transported via bus through Leyte to the consignee in Dauis.

The identity of the consignee has been withheld by the police pending a follow-up operation.

This operation is part of a larger crackdown in the region, which has seen nearly 50 million pesos worth of shabu confiscated in recent operations in Dauis, Panglao, and Tagbilaran, with the largest haul valued at 27 million pesos in Barangay Mansasa last month.
