In a heartwarming display of community support, the City of Imus, under the leadership of Mayor Alex Advincula, has once again shown its commitment to honoring the lives of its senior citizens.

In a recent Facebook post, Mayor Advincula announced the awarding of a P100,000 cash gift to centenarian Mr. Rufino Tapawan of Barangay Malagasang 1-G. The generous gift was not just a monetary award but also included groceries to ensure a joyous birthday celebration for Mr. Tapawan.

Mayor Advincula expressed his gratitude towards the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) and the Imus Senior Citizens Association Incorporated (IMUSCAI), acknowledging their partnership in making this project possible.

The mayor’s message conveyed a deep respect for the elderly and a desire to pray for their strength and happiness.

This act of kindness is part of a broader initiative by the city government to recognize the contributions of its oldest residents and provide them with the support and recognition they deserve.

The community’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the mayor’s efforts to uplift the spirits of Imus’s esteemed elders.

As the City of Imus continues to set an example of care and respect for the senior community, Mayor Advincula’s actions serve as a reminder of the importance of celebrating life at every stage.
