Kawit, Cavite – A notorious drug personality was arrested in Kawit, Cavite on Friday evening after selling suspected shabu to undercover agents.

Alias “Otoy”, a resident of Brgy Aplaya, Kawit, was apprehended at around 5:45 pm on January 3, 2025, following a buy-bust operation conducted by the Drugs Enforcement Unit/Intel Operatives of the Kawit Municipal Police Station.

The suspect was found to be in possession of one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing the illegal drug. He was promptly informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and brought to the police station for documentation and proper disposition.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station has intensified its campaign against all forms of criminality, including illegal drug trade, and has vowed to continue its efforts to prevent and eradicate crimes in the community.

The arrest serves as a stern warning to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drugs and to support the authorities in their efforts to maintain a safe and drug-free society.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of PLTCOL SOCRATES S JACA, Officer-in-Charge of the Kawit Municipal Police Station, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.

The police station’s campaign against criminality is part of its commitment to serve and protect the community, as reflected in its slogan “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Gustong Pulis Ligtas Ka”.
