The response to a recent oil spill in Cavite has received a significant boost from local government units, national agencies and private partners, ensuring a more efficient and effective cleanup of affected areas.
Cleanway Environmental Management Solutions Inc. donated 50 drums with covers to aid in the collection and storage of oil-contaminated waste along Cavite’s shorelines.
The donation is expected to minimize environmental impact and speed up the cleanup process. The company has also offered to provide additional containers as needed.
All Waste Services from Santo Tomas, Batangas, donated 12 drums on Aug. 6, highlighting the strong community spirit and cooperation across regions in addressing environmental emergencies.
The Provincial Government of Cavite has also completed the hauling of 25,000 relief packages provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office IV-A.
The hauling was expedited with the help of 93 Army Reservists from the Reserve Command, Philippine Army, and 25 personnel from the Philippine National Police Provincial Office.
