In a heartfelt Facebook post, Congressman Jolo Revilla of Cavite’s 1st District shared his participation in the historic celebration marking the 400th anniversary of evangelization in the town of Kawit, Cavite.
The event, held at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Santa Maria Magdalena, was led by the Most Reverend Reynaldo G. Evangelista D.D. and is part of the “Punla: Ang Bunga ng Pananampalataya ng Cavite el Viejo” initiative.
The congressman emphasized the significant role of the church and parish of Cavite el Viejo and Saint Maria Magdalena in the rich history of the province and its deepening of the community’s faith in God. He expressed hope that the ongoing celebrations in honor of Saint Maria Magdalena would foster renewed relationships among the people and with God, reflecting a collective advancement, care, and unity.
The post concluded with a vibrant salute to Saint Maria Magdalena, the patroness and guiding light of Kawit and the symbol of the revolution, as well as to the enduring spirit of Cavite el Viejo.
