KAWIT, Cavite – A suspected drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station recently in Barangay Aplaya, authorities said.

The operation, carried out around 4:40 p.m. by the station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives, was conducted under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Socrates S. Jaca, officer-in-charge, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A (PDEA-4A).

The suspect, identified by the alias “Sunshine,” a resident of Barangay Aplaya, was apprehended after allegedly selling a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

Police said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understands before being brought to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Authorities said the Kawit Municipal Police Station remains committed to its intensified campaign against all forms of criminality, warning the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drug activities.
